Today was the opening day of the Welcome Center in the Bog. Joe and I decided to head on out and see what was out, and we were hoping to run into some people we know. We did get in a nice visit to Loretta and her husband, at Loretta’s feeders. But we didn’t see many other birders out on the road. The welcome center was open and we had a good chat with Clinton, the head naturalist there and we found a nice handful of birds on our trip.
Today I was able to take in two basketball games against my old school, or what used to be my old school. Both the boys and girls team took on the new Babbitt-Embarrass team. It is fun getting the action shots.
Just a few shots of things around home.
Some days you just need a spot of color in your life.
Today I did something that is way outside of what I normally do. I went to a hockey game. It was a hard thing for me to do as the roads were not in good condition and it was snowing rather well. I am still nervous about driving on the roads and it was hard driving over, but I had the girl child with me. It was fun watching the hockey and I learned some new things. Never hurts to go outside your comfort zone sometimes.
Tonight, while grading projects, I just had to capture the patterns in the Zentangle a student drew.
Today the hubby and I were able to hit the bog again after a long absence due to his work. It was a nice drive, though there was not a lot out. We did find a few Rough-legged hawks, but they were a challenge to capture as it was snowing and very dull outside. But it was nice to be out with my best friend.
After a long day there was only enough energy to take one extreme macro photo…
Christmas is in the air and that means…Glitter!
Today I lucked out and was able to purchase another film camera to use by my students. I hope they are excited as I am.
